John Mathiason博士，雪城大学麦克斯韦尔学院国际关系专业客座教授、麦克斯韦尔高层管理专业跨国教育和远程教育的项目经理。他在麦克斯韦尔学院教授《国际公共非政府组织管理》，和《国际组织的经营结果取向管理》等课程。他目前的研究兴趣集中在国际组织提供公共服务的方式研究，包括联合国改革、互联网管理、以及国际承认政权。 他毕业于麻省理工学院政治学专业，博士学位。

Mathiason为国际原子能机构、全面禁止核试验条约组织、联合国提高妇女地位国际研究培训所、联合国内部监察事务处提供管理培训和咨询。此外, 他从1971年到1996年曾任联合国秘书处的工作人员。
