Ilona Stadnik

Biography

Ilona Stadnik is a Ph.D. candidate at the Saint Petersburg State University, as well as a Fulbright visiting researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology. She is based in School of Public Policy, the home of  Internet Governance Project.

Her research covers international cyber norm-making, Russia-US relations in cybersecurity field, and the global Internet governance. Ilona is a regular participant and speaker at major cybersecurity events such as the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), CyFy conference, European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG).

She has written on international cybersecurity regimes and has been invited to contribute to an edited volume of the Handbook on Cybersecurity, covering the Russian cybersecurity strategy.

Previously, Ilona worked as a researcher for the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of science (IMEMO); PIR Center; and Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at the Higher School of Economics.
